Is it strange or morbid to give this as a gift?
We hear this a lot. The honest answer: it depends entirely on how you frame it. People who receive Gift of Goodbye well are usually told something like, "I gave you a private place to record a few things when you feel like it. There's no rush." The product itself is linguistically calm and neutral, and the recipient is in full control from the moment they redeem.
What if they don't want it, or never use it?
That's okay, and we plan for it. Unredeemed gifts are refundable in full for 90 days, no questions. After that, the credits stay attached to the certificate — no expiration. If they redeem in five years and record nothing for another two, that's still fine. The plan is theirs the day they redeem; the recording is theirs whenever it happens.
Can I record messages on their behalf?
No — and we're firm on this. Every message on Say Goodbye is recorded by the person whose voice it carries.
How long does the printed certificate take to arrive?
5-7 business days within the contiguous US for the Keepsake Bundle. We mail every certificate from Houston via USPS First Class with tracking. International is available — write to [email protected] for a quote and timing.
Can I gift credits to someone who already has an account?
Yes. Any of the Evergreen Credit Packs ($19, $39, $69, $119) can be gifted directly to an existing Say Goodbye account. They show up as a credit grant with your note attached, and never expire.
What's printed on the certificate, exactly?
The recipient's first name, the plan or pack you chose, your private note (up to 280 characters), the redemption code, the issue date, and an edition number. No prices, no "from" line unless you ask for one. You can preview the full layout at checkout before printing or mailing.
