Access & recipients.

Who can see my messages?

Only the people you choose, based on the access settings for each message. You name recipients per message and decide what those settings should be.

Can I change who can access a message?

Yes. You can update recipients and access settings any time before a message becomes available. Relationships and circumstances change; the settings can change with them.

What verification options are there?

Recipients can be required to verify their identity before viewing certain messages. Verification options are designed to help confirm the right person is accessing the message, based on the settings you choose.

Is the system private?

Say Goodbye is designed to protect messages through controlled access, verification options, and restricted viewing. No system can guarantee absolute security, but safeguards are in place and your access settings stay with you.

Timing & sharing.

When are messages shared?

You choose the timing. Some messages may be scheduled for specific dates, milestones, or recurring moments. For messages intended after passing, recipients are notified after passing is confirmed and can access messages based on your settings.

Can I schedule a message for a specific date?

Yes. Choose a date, a milestone, or a recurring cadence. You can also pair a message with conditions you set — your account, your rules.

Are messages automatically delivered after someone passes?

When passing is confirmed, recipients are notified and can access messages based on your settings. There is no automatic broadcast; access opens according to what you've chosen.

Can I change the timing later?

Yes. Timing and viewing rules can be updated at any point before a message becomes available.

Downloading & sharing.

Can someone share or download my message?

It depends on your settings. Some messages may allow replaying or downloading, while restricted messages may limit viewing, downloading, or sharing.

What is a restricted message?

A restricted message uses tighter access rules you choose: limited replays, no-download options, sender-defined access. It's designed for content you'd like to keep within a narrower frame.

Can I edit or remove a message?

Yes, at any time before a message becomes available. Drafts and saved messages remain yours to revise.

Legal & medical.

Is this a legal document?

No. Say Goodbye is for personal messages only and does not replace a will, trust, estate plan, attorney, or legal advice.

Is this a medical or mental health service?

No. Say Goodbye does not provide medical advice, therapy, crisis support, or intervention. If you need that kind of help, please reach out to a trusted person or a professional resource.

Do you use AI on my messages?

Automated systems may assist with message processing, timing, and content safety review. These systems do not replace human judgment, and they are limited in scope.

Gifts & how they work.

How does a gift work?

The buyer purchases access. The recipient claims it, creates their own account, and decides what messages to create and who can receive them. The gift opens a door — the recipient walks through it on their own terms.

Does the buyer see the recipient's messages?

No. Once a gift is claimed, the recipient owns the account and the messages. The buyer is not granted access to any of it.

Can I gift this to anyone?

You can gift Say Goodbye to people you choose to share it with. We suggest a short note about what it is, so the recipient can decide for themselves whether to use it.

Support & care.

What if I need support?

If you're going through something difficult, please reach out to a trusted person or a professional resource near you. Say Goodbye is not a crisis service. If you're in immediate need, contact local emergency services or a crisis line in your area.

How do I get help with my account?

Write to [email protected]. A real person reads every note, usually within a day or two.

Recording & storage.

How long can a message be?

Lengths depend on the plan or pack you choose. The basics are shown at purchase, and you can add minutes when needed.

Do I need special equipment?

No. A phone or webcam works well. If you'd like, we can offer simple tips on light and sound when you're recording.

How long are messages stored?

Storage and access terms depend on the message or plan you select and are shown at purchase. We don't promise permanent storage — we describe the term clearly so you can decide.

Pricing & plans.

What can I buy?

You can choose a one-time message, a bundle, or an optional recurring plan. Add minutes, dates, or restricted-message options as needed. See Pricing for what's available.

Do I have to subscribe?

No. Subscriptions are optional. One-time messages and bundles work without a recurring plan.

What if I can't pay one period — do my messages disappear?

If a payment fails, messages remain protected by the terms shown at purchase. Specific behaviors depend on the plan and term you chose. Reach out and we'll walk through your options.
